Tragedy Strikes: Two Girls Drown in Maharashtra Lake
Two young girls drowned when their paddle boat capsized in Hingani lake, Maharashtra. The girls belonged to a fishing community. Local efforts to rescue them were in vain, as they were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Another rescuer is in critical condition.

In a tragic incident in Maharashtra, two girls drowned after their paddle boat overturned in Hingani lake in Beed district, authorities reported on Saturday.
The accident happened around noon when a group from a local fishing community arrived at the water body. While some were fishing, three girls—Palak Shyam Parve, Divya Vikas Kamble, and Mohini Bhima Parve—were on the paddle boat that capsized suddenly.
Local residents rushed to assist, taking the girls and a rescuer, Maya Shinde, to the nearest health center before they were moved to Swami Ramanand Teerth Rural Government Medical College. Palak and Divya were declared dead on arrival, and Maya is critically injured. Mohini is recovering at a private hospital.
