Regaal Resources Sets New Benchmark with Major Expansion in Maize Processing
Regaal Resources enhances its maize processing capacity, doubling its operations at the Kishanganj complex. The Kolkata-based firm invested Rs 389 crore to boost its wet milling facility and add derivative manufacturing units, expecting to generate 475 new jobs. This positions it as the largest maize processor in Eastern India.
In a significant development, Regaal Resources announced on Tuesday that it has achieved a substantial expansion of its maize processing capabilities. The Kolkata-headquartered agro-processing company invested Rs 389 crore to double the milling capacity at its Kishanganj facility in Bihar.
The expansion includes a new liquid glucose unit and a maltodextrin powder plant, boosting its production capabilities significantly. This strategic investment is set to create around 475 jobs, bringing the company's total workforce to approximately 950.
Regaal's latest developments position it as the leading maize wet milling facility in Eastern India, further supported by Bihar's Industrial Investment Promotion Policy. Plans for future expansion into starch derivatives are already in motion.
