Rugby-Wales winger Rees-Zammit to leave rugby union to join NFL

Wales and Gloucester Rugby winger Louis Rees-Zammit will leave rugby union to join the National Football League in the United States, Gloucester Rugby said on Tuesday.

Rees-Zammit, 22, has earned 32 caps for Wales.

"Gloucester Rugby have agreed to release winger Louis Rees-Zammit with immediate effect to enable the 22-year-old to pursue his dream of playing in the National Football League (NFL)," the club said in a statement.
