In a bold move, English soccer team Watford FC is inviting fans to buy shares to support the club's aspirations of returning to the Premier League.
Currently competing in the second-tier Championship, Watford, formerly owned by music legend Elton John, plans to raise 17.5 million pounds ($22.4 million) to fund new player acquisitions.
Club owner Gino Pozzo emphasized the risks involved, cautioning potential investors about the possibility of losing their entire investment. The club aims to use part of the funding to enhance manager Tom Cleverley's squad.
