Anirban Lahiri had a sluggish start with a string of pars but soon found his rhythm, elevating his score to 3-under in the first round of the Liv Golf Houston. Lahiri tied in 15th place alongside prominent golfers Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm.

Starting from the 13th hole, Lahiri made six pars before securing birdies on five of the next seven holes, concluding the round with a score of 69 in the USD20 million event.

Emerging star Caleb Surratt, 20, opened with an impressive bogey-free 7-under 65, tying for the first-round lead with Martin Kaymer and Adrian Meronk, both members of his team, Cleeks GC.

The Cleeks dominated the team event, leading at 17-under and securing a three-shot advantage over Torque GC in the team standings.

The individual leaderboard is packed with competition, as the top trio is just one shot ahead of Kevin Na and Carlos Ortiz, with seven other players, including points leader Joaquin Niemann and Patrick Reed, two shots behind.

Notably, 41 out of the 54 players in the field finished the round under par, including nine who managed bogey-free rounds.
