Eduard Bello opened the scoring in the 49th minute, leading Venezuela to a 3-0 victory over Jamaica in Copa America, securing a perfect record in Group B.
Despite missing their coach, Fernando Batista, due to a suspension by CONMEBOL, Venezuela (3-0-0) performed admirably. By topping Group B, they avoided a quarterfinal clash with Argentina, the tournament favorite and defending champs, set to face Canada instead.
Bello netted his second goal of the tournament, while Salomón Rondón and Eric Ramírez added to the tally, ensuring a comfortable win for the Venezuelans. Goalkeeper Rafael Romo contributed by stopping one shot on goal, keeping a clean sheet against Jamaica (0-3-0).
