Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has addressed the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) decision not to send the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.

According to Abdullah, both India and Pakistan share equal responsibility to improve bilateral relations. This decision stems from ongoing tensions that have prevented bilateral cricket series since 2008.

The BCCI proposed holding India's matches in Dubai or Sri Lanka instead of Pakistan, but this idea has not received support. Abdullah emphasizes that better relations require efforts from both nations. He also recalled that India last played a bilateral series against Pakistan in the 2012-2013 season.
