Pakistan star pacer Shaheen Afridi is expected to miss the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh. This absence is due to the impending birth of his first child with his wife Ansha, according to sources.

'Shaheen can miss Bangladesh Test matches due to childbirth. We can give him [some] rest if he wants to stay with his wife till then,' Pakistan's red-ball coach Jason Gillespie said, as reported by Geo News.

Meanwhile, Afridi has recently been embroiled in a controversy following heated exchanges with batting coach Mohammad Yousuf during the T20I series in England. Sources confirmed the incident was resolved swiftly after Afridi apologized.

The altercation occurred during a training session when Yousuf criticized Afridi for overstepping. According to sources, Afridi retorted angrily at Yousuf, leading to a brief but intense confrontation. However, the matter was quickly resolved, though it wasn't officially reported to the PCB.

Pakistan's schedule includes a two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting August 21, ahead of their white-ball series against Australia in November.
