Mumbai City FC on Monday announced the signing of 24-year-old defender Sahil Panwar on a free transfer, securing his services until the end of the 2024-25 season.
Dehradun native Sahil Panwar began his professional journey with the Pune FC academy, where he impressed in the Subroto Cup and later captained the U-18 side. He debuted in the ISL with FC Pune City in January 2018 and played for Hyderabad FC and Odisha FC.
Over his ISL career, Panwar has made 70 appearances and recorded 88 interceptions. He also captained India's U-20 team in the 2017 SAFF U-18 Championship. ''I am thrilled to join Mumbai City FC and look forward to meeting my new teammates and coach Petr Kratky,'' Panwar said. Coach Kratky highlighted Panwar's consistency and experience, emphasizing his crucial role for the upcoming season.
