Indian Swimmers' Struggles at Paris Olympics

Both Srihari Nataraj and Dhinidhi Desinghu failed to progress to the semifinals at the Paris Olympics. Nataraj finished 33rd in the 100m men's backstroke event, while Dhinidhi, the youngest Indian contingent member, topped her 200m women's freestyle heat but finished 23rd overall.

The Paris Olympics concluded with Indian swimmers Srihari Nataraj and Dhinidhi Desinghu unable to advance to the semifinals of their respective events on Sunday.

Nataraj, 23, finished joint-second in the slower heat with a time of 55.01s in the 100m men's backstroke, placing 33rd overall. This was significantly slower than his personal best of 53.77s and his season's best of 54.68s.

Making her Olympic debut, 14-year-old Dhinidhi Desinghu topped her 200m women's freestyle heat with a time of 2:06.96, but finished 23rd out of 30, including against three-time Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus of Australia.
