In a significant revelation, iconic Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, MS Dhoni, has expressed uncertainty about his future in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dhoni, 43, has adopted a wait-and-watch strategy, opting to decide only after reviewing new auction and retention rules.

While addressing an event in Hyderabad, Dhoni, as quoted by ESPNCricinfo, remarked, "There is a lot of time for it. We have to see what decision they take on player retention etc. Right now, the ball is not in our court." He emphasized the necessity of prioritizing the team's best interests in any decision he makes.

Despite undergoing a successful knee surgery, Dhoni faced a series of physical challenges during the 2024 season. Nevertheless, he managed to score 161 runs in 11 innings, with stellar strike rates and averages. His efforts, however, couldn't secure CSK a playoff spot, as they finished the season fifth with 14 points.
