Brazilian striker Evanilson is on the verge of joining Bournemouth in a transfer deal that could amount to a reported 40 million pounds (USD 51.6 million).

Evanilson, 24, who will be transferring from Porto, found the net 13 times in the Portuguese league last season and achieved a hat trick in the Champions League group stage against Royal Antwerp in October.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola stated, “He has been here, he arrived last night, he has gone through all the medical stuff, but still he has things to do. A lot of paperwork to do, so I don't know really what's going to be the process when it's ready.'' Evanilson is expected to replace Dominic Solanke, recently acquired by Tottenham in a deal reportedly worth 65 million pounds (USD 83 million).

In other transfers, Tottenham also secured winger Wilson Odobert from Burnley for an undisclosed fee lasting until 2029, while Ipswich, now in the Championship, signed Sam Szmodics, last season's top scorer from Blackburn.
