India to Face West Indies in ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2024

Defending champions India kick off their campaign in the second edition of the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup against West Indies, held in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2, 2024. The tournament features 16 teams divided into four groups, with a Super Six stage and subsequent semifinals culminating in the final on February 2.

Defending champions India will open their campaign against West Indies in the second edition of the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2 next year. Group A includes India, Malaysia (hosts), West Indies, and Sri Lanka.

Last year, India emerged victorious in the tournament’s inaugural edition held in South Africa, defeating England. In this year's competition, Group B consists of England, Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA. South Africa, New Zealand, Samoa, and an African qualifier make up Group C, while Group D features Australia, Bangladesh, Scotland, and an Asian qualifier.

The tournament structure involves a round-robin phase where each team plays three matches within its group. The top three teams from each group advance to the Super Six stage. Here, the 12 qualifying teams are re-sorted into two new groups, with the top two from each advancing to the semifinals on January 31, and the final slated for February 2 at Bayuemas Oval. Reserve days are provided for both the semifinals and the final.
