Real Madrid's Quest for Redemption: Ancelotti Demands Improvement

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is urging his team to perform better in their first home game of the LaLiga season against Valladolid. Disappointed by a 1-1 draw with Mallorca, Ancelotti seeks more balance and a collective defensive effort. Meanwhile, Barcelona grapples with Financial Fair Play issues.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has called for a significant improvement from his squad as they prepare for their LaLiga home opener against Valladolid this Sunday. The team, including Kylian Mbappe making his Santiago Bernabeu debut, is under pressure to recover from a lackluster 1-1 draw against Mallorca last weekend.

Ancelotti's frustration was evident when he addressed reporters, stressing the need for better attitude and performance. Mbappe and Real's 'New Galacticos' were disappointing against Mallorca, with only goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois preventing a loss.

'We lacked balance,' Ancelotti said. 'We didn't play well. Although we're an attacking team, defensive balance is crucial.' Barcelona, meanwhile, is dealing with Financial Fair Play constraints as they aim to register their new signing Dani Olmo.
