Mumbai City FC marked their first triumph of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season by defeating FC Goa 2-1 in a tightly contested match on Saturday.

Continuing their dominance over the Gaurs, Mumbai City secured the victory with first-half goals from Nikalos Karelis and Yoell van Nieff. Armando Sadiku's second-half penalty for FC Goa provided some hope for the home team but ultimately fell short as they failed to find an equalizer.

Under the guidance of coach Petr Kratky, Mumbai City's performance was highlighted by Dutch midfielder Yoell van Nieff, whose dynamic play helped overcome FC Goa's defenses. Despite a spirited effort, FC Goa's attempts to turn the game with late substitutions proved unfruitful.
