Shoaib Malik Backs India as Favorites Against Pakistan in Champions Trophy Showdown

Shoaib Malik picks India as the favorite in the upcoming Champions Trophy clash against Pakistan in Dubai. Despite recent setbacks for Pakistan, India's dominance continues, though Virat Kohli's struggles against leg-spinners remain a concern. Malik suggests improved footwork as a solution for Kohli's issues.

In a highly anticipated match during the Champions Trophy, former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has tipped India as the favorites against Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday, according to RevSportz.

The stakes are high as Pakistan seeks to revive its campaign, while India aims to maintain its dominance and record over its arch-rival.

Malik emphasized India's favored status but noted that individual brilliance could sway outcomes, highlighting the importance of centuries and key wicket-taking performances.

He suggested that Virat Kohli, a vital player for India, could overcome his recent struggles against leg-spinners with improved footwork. Despite Kohli's form, India's campaign remains robust, contrasting Pakistan's challenging situation after a setback against New Zealand.

The Pakistan team faced a blow as they surrendered to New Zealand, inching closer to their exit rather than a place in the finals. Meanwhile, India achieved a convincing six-wicket victory over Bangladesh, steering their campaign forward.
