Jannik Sinner has pulled out from the U.S. Open mixed doubles competition, where he was set to play alongside Katerina Siniakova, after falling ill. His decision comes on the heels of a premature exit from the Cincinnati Open final.

The world number one struggled on a scorching Monday in Cincinnati against Carlos Alcaraz, where he retired five games into the match with a 5-0 deficit. On Tuesday, he apologized to fans for the withdrawal, expressing gratitude for their support both on-site and from afar.
