Morocco's Amine Adli is the latest to depart Bayer Leverkusen, having finalized a transfer to Bournemouth for 29 million euros. Despite being a crucial substitute and scoring 23 goals in 143 matches, Adli now aims for a fresh start in the Premier League.
Leverkusen faces a transitional phase as Florian Wirtz, Granit Xhaka, Jeremie Frimpong, Jonathan Tah, and Lukas Hradecky have also left. The team previously went undefeated last domestic season, clinching the Bundesliga and German Cup but failing to secure any trophies.
In light of these changes, Leverkusen appointed Erik ten Hag as head coach, succeeding Xabi Alonso. Adli expressed gratitude for his transformative four-year tenure, remarking, "The special time in this club has shaped me as an athlete and as a person. I will never forget them."
