The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has announced that its elections will take place on November 30, following a period of uncertainty after the Raghuram Bhatt committee's term ended on September 30. The delay in setting an election date led to confusion within Karnataka's cricketing community.

KSCA's CEO, Shubhendu Ghosh, confirmed the date via email after being pressured by a panel led by former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad. The panel, which includes former BCCI and KSCA official Vinay Mruthyunjaya among others, had urged transparency regarding election timing and disputed attempts to deny candidacy to certain individuals. The association denied any obstruction against eligible candidates.

The KSCA's main focus remains on compliance with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The association addressed disputes over the nine-year tenure clause, clarifying it limits officials' terms to prevent lengthy tenures in administration, aligning with recommendations from the Lodha Committee Report and Supreme Court rulings.
