Formula One closed its season in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday as new champion Lando Norris took to the track with McLaren for a final tyre test before significant changes for the upcoming year. The Briton secured his title at Yas Marina on Sunday and joined 14 other regular drivers and upcoming talents for the session.

Norris expressed his satisfaction at the final outing in his championship-winning car, stating, "It was great to get back out in our championship-winning car for one last time this year." Testing for the next season is scheduled to begin on January 26-30, with the 2026 season opener set for March 8 in Australia.

Preparation activities also saw Isack Hadjar and Arvid Lindblad gather experience with their new teams. Hadjar is set to partner with four-times world champion Max Verstappen for Red Bull, while Lindblad takes Hadjar's previous spot at Racing Bulls. The test sessions not only provided drivers with valuable track time but also marked the farewell to the current turbo-hybrid engines as Pirelli's narrowed tyres made their debut.
