Donyell Malen Swaps Aston Villa for AS Roma

Donyell Malen has left Aston Villa to join AS Roma on a loan deal with an option to buy. The move may involve a swap deal with Tammy Abraham. Malen joined Villa in 2025, scoring seven goals in 46 appearances.

Donyell Malen, the Netherlands forward, has departed Aston Villa after a year's tenure to join Italian side AS Roma, the Premier League club announced on Friday.

According to Roma, Malen joins on a loan deal with an option to buy, reportedly at £1.7 million with obligations if specific conditions are met.

Media reports indicate this move could be part of a swap with Tammy Abraham, currently loaned to Besiktas, potentially heading back to Villa. Malen's tenure at Villa saw him score seven goals in 46 appearances.
