The ASMITA Football League 2025-26, a cornerstone event for grassroots women's football, has triumphantly completed its City League phase nationwide. This marks a significant step as the tournament advances to the Zonal and National stages, engaging 20 state associations across four zones.
During the City Leagues, 49 competitions took place in an under-13, 9v9 format, orchestrated by 25 state associations. In a knockout setup, each league hosted eight teams, leading to a total of 343 matches involving over 6,500 young talents. The City League's conclusion sets the stage for the Zonal competitions.
The Zonal Leagues will unfold in a single round-robin format across North, South, East, and West zones, each featuring five participating teams. Maharashtra leads the West Zone, matches in Bhavnagar; while Bengaluru hosts the South Zone. The top teams will qualify for the National Round, eagerly awaited by fans and players alike.
