The International Cricket Council (ICC) has declined the Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) appeal to shift its T20 World Cup fixtures to Sri Lanka. The ICC, citing comprehensive security assessments, asserted there are no credible threats to safety at Indian venues hosting the tournament.

The matter was decided during an ICC Board meeting conducted via video conferencing, called in response to the BCB's concerns and request for a venue change. Thorough evaluations found no justification for relocating matches based on security threats.

The ICC emphasized that altering the tournament schedule at this time is impractical and setting a precedent without concrete threats would jeopardize the integrity of future events.
