Australia is set to face formidable rugby challenges in 2026, with key matches against World Champions South Africa and perennial rivals New Zealand. Rugby Australia has announced that the Wallabies will feature in significant clashes at Perth Stadium and Eden Park.
However, Melbourne, Australia's second-largest city, continues its disappointing streak of being overlooked by rugby officials, missing out on hosting a knockout test in the upcoming Rugby World Cup barring one round-of-16 match. The Wallabies will also play Nations Championship games against Italy, Ireland, and France.
The team will then travel to Osaka for a match against Japan, with a rematch in Townsville. The annual Bledisloe Cup series against New Zealand begins in Auckland's Eden Park, a venue Australia has not conquered since 1986, before concluding in Sydney. The venues for the away tests against Argentina are still pending confirmation.
