South African cricketers Faf du Plessis, Jonty Rhodes, and Heinrich Klaasen have purchased the Rotterdam franchise in a new European Twenty20 league. In a significant development for European cricket, South African cricket icons Faf du Plessis, Jonty Rhodes, and Heinrich Klaasen have united to acquire the Rotterdam franchise in a fresh European Twenty20 league.

Set to launch between August 26 and September 20, the European T20 Premier League will feature teams from six cities, including Glasgow and Dublin. Du Plessis, a former South African captain, will lead the Rotterdam side, marking his initial venture into team ownership amid the league's growth.
