As Pakistan prepares to face Australia in the upcoming ODI series, all eyes are on star batter Babar Azam. With 20 ODI centuries to his name, Babar stands on the cusp of breaking the record for most centuries by a Pakistani player, a record currently shared with the legendary Saeed Anwar.

Babar's ascent to this milestone has been remarkable. Having accumulated 6,501 runs at an impressive average of 53.72 and a strike rate of 87.16 in 140 ODIs, he is not only a critical player for Pakistan but also ranks as the 11th-highest ODI run-scorer for his country. His forthcoming opportunity against Australia on Friday in Rawalpindi could see him secure the record outright.

Adding to his prowess, Babar enters the international arena following a victorious Pakistan Super League campaign, where he led Peshawar Zalmi to triumph as captain. The series also promises exciting cricket with talents like Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah ready to showcase their skills against a competitive Australian lineup.
