India initially broke through in the 19th minute when Nousheen seized a penalty corner opportunity, driving home the first goal. She expanded India's advantage with another goal in the 28th minute. Although Malaysia narrowed the gap in the third quarter, India's defense secured the win. This result positions India second in Pool A, immediately behind Korea.
