FIFA has implemented a new Stadium Code of Conduct barring reusable bottles at World Cup venues due to safety concerns. Previously, empty, transparent, reusable plastic bottles were allowed, but the governing body revised regulations to enhance safety.

Along with bottles, items such as cups, jars, and cans are also restricted. FIFA emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safety of players, referees, and attendees, citing the potential injury risk from these items, especially if thrown.

The measure prompted concerns due to high temperatures expected at some venues. FIFA assures fans of measures like hydration stations and other cooling resources. The World Cup, to be co-hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, will feature an expanded schedule with 104 matches.
