David Sullivan, joint-chair of West Ham United, has stepped down following the impending release of serious historic allegations. He has resigned from both WH Holding Limited and West Ham United FC. Despite denying any illegal conduct, Sullivan chose to step down to prevent disruption to the club.
David Sullivan, joint-chair of West Ham United, has vacated his position with immediate effect, the club announced on Saturday.
In a statement, West Ham United revealed that Mr. Sullivan has also resigned as a director of WH Holding Limited and the football club itself, due to the impending publication of serious historic allegations.
Although Sullivan denies any illegal conduct, he opted to step down to avoid causing disruption to the club while he deals with the matter privately, the club's statement added.
