England manager Thomas Tuchel has highlighted the fierce competition for starting positions in the national team ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Jude Bellingham, the Real Madrid midfielder, is among several players vying for a spot in a highly competitive squad. Although Bellingham only participated in four of England's qualifying matches, the 22-year-old remains a potential starter as Tuchel evaluates his options.

Speaking about Bellingham's chances, Tuchel said, 'He knows he is one of the starters, but we have 14 or 15 potential starters. These roles can always change.' The England team continues their World Cup preparations in Florida, recently achieving a narrow 1-0 victory over New Zealand, with Harry Kane scoring the only goal of the match.

Bellingham captained the side for the first time in the game against New Zealand, providing Tuchel a chance to assess his squad in challenging conditions. Despite the competition, Bellingham has impressed with his form since recovering from injury. England, part of Group L, will begin their World Cup campaign against Croatia in Arlington, Texas, on June 18.
