Report: Broncos QB Lock agrees to terms

Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Drew Lock will not hold out of any training camp practices after he agreed to terms on his rookie contract Wednesday, Pro Football Talk reported. A report Tuesday from 9News.com said negotiations between the sides had stalled, as Lock sought a "quarterback premium" -- with additional guarantees or workout bonuses -- to be paid more than fellow second-round rookie Dalton Risner, a guard taken by Denver one pick before Lock in April's draft.

Reports: NFL-NFLPA meetings cut short two days

A scheduled three-day bargaining session between the NFL and the NFLPA ended after one day, according to multiple reports on Wednesday. The sides released a joint statement on Wednesday afternoon, saying, "Today's meeting was productive, constructive and beneficial for both sides, and the meetings between the NFLPA's Executive Committee and the NFL's Management Council Executive Committee will continue."

Boxing: Pacquiao camp denies Khan claims over Saudi Arabia bout

Manny Pacquiao has not signed a contract to take on Amir Khan in Saudi Arabia later this year despite claims that a deal has been agreed for the bout, the Filipino's publicist has said. Khan, who beat Australia's Billy Dib in Jeddah on July 13 to win the WBC international welterweight title, said on Tuesday that he had agreed a deal to fight Pacquiao in Riyadh on Nov. 8.

The R&A sees a bright future for the Women's British Open but chief executive Martin Slumbers on Wednesday offered no promises that the championship's purse would be boosted any time soon to match the men's Open. McIlroy: Open's return to Northern Ireland 'bigger than me'

Despite competing on home soil in Northern Ireland, Rory McIlroy said there's no added pressure to win this week's Open Championship at Royal Portrush. "I'm just treating this like any other Open Championship," he said Wednesday, per SkySports.com. "I've played well here for the last few years, and I've played well on this golf course. So I've just got to go out and hit the shots and stay in the present. If I just keep putting one foot in front of the other, hopefully by Sunday night, that will be good enough."

WTA roundup: Pera upsets Garcia in Lausanne

Bernarda Pera stunned second-seeded Caroline Garcia of France 6-2, 6-4 at the Ladies' Open Lausanne on Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals in Lausanne, Switzerland. Report: Paul trade talks stall, could play for Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder's discussions to trade newly acquired point guard Chris Paul have stalled, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday, increasing the odds that he begins the season with the team. The Thunder have been working with Paul's agent on a suitable trade since acquiring him from the Houston Rockets last week in a deal for Russell Westbrook and two first-round picks, but Wojnarowski reports nothing is materializing. The report adds that Oklahoma City believes trade talks could improve after Dec. 15 -- when players signed this offseason can be included in deals -- or after the 2019-20 season.

Ferrari make the first pick for F1 Pro Series

Debutants Ferrari were given first pick in the Pro Draft for the 2019 Formula One esports series on Wednesday and chose Italian gamer David Tonizza to race for them against the other nine teams. Ferrari were the only absentees last year, with Formula One's oldest, most successful and glamorous brand reserving judgement.
