The Chicago White Sox placed third baseman Yoan Moncada on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to a right hamstring injury. The 24-year-old emerging star is batting .301 with 20 homers and 59 RBIs in 97 games this season.
Moncada departed Tuesday's game against the New York Mets with the injury. An MRI exam performed Wednesday detected a Grade 1 strain. The White Sox didn't immediately announce a corresponding move.
