Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said wide receiver Davante Adams' turf toe injury will keep him out of Monday night's game against the Detroit Lions. Adams sustained the injury in the Week 4 loss to Philadelphia and did not play in last Sunday's win at Dallas.

Adams, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, leads the Packers with 25 catches and 378 receiving yards. The 26-year-old told reporters on Thursday that the timetable for his return is uncertain.

"I'm not sure just yet," he said. "It is a major injury so it's something that we got to pay attention to and make sure we monitor in the correct way to make sure that it's not something that gets re-aggravated later on in the season or I come back a little too early and really mess the thing up. So we are really just trying to pace it at this point, I can't really tell you when I'm going to play, I don't know, it doesn't feel how I want it to feel at the moment." Adams set career highs last season with 111 receptions for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Also out for the Packers will be first-round rookie safety Darnell Savage, who is week to week with an ankle injury. --Field Level Media
