Miami Dolphins wide receiver Allen Hurns signed a two-year extension that will keep him under contract through the 2021 season, the team announced Saturday. Financial terms were not disclosed by the team, however, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the deal is worth $8 million and includes $3.27 million in guaranteed money.

Hurns, who grew up in Miami and played for the hometown Hurricanes in college, has recorded 13 receptions for 170 yards and a touchdown in eight games this season. The 28-year-old spent last season with the Dallas Cowboys. Hurns caught 20 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games before sustaining a dislocated left ankle and broken fibula in the NFC wild-card game against Seattle on Jan. 5.

Hurns played his first four seasons in Jacksonville (2014-17). His best year with the Jaguars came in 2015 with 64 catches for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns, all career bests. -- Field Level Media
