Fire Erupts in Noida IT Firm Due to AC Blast; No Injuries Reported

A fire broke out in a Noida IT company's second floor on Saturday afternoon due to an air conditioner's indoor unit blast. No injuries were reported. Six water tenders were dispatched, but only three were needed to control the blaze. Officials advised against running ACs continuously during extreme heat.

A fire erupted in an IT company located in Noida's Sector 63 on Saturday afternoon, as confirmed by officials.

The blaze ignited on the second floor around 2 PM, attributed to a blast in the indoor unit of an air conditioner, stated Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Choubey.

Upon receiving the alert, six water tenders were dispatched to the scene, with an additional four kept on standby. However, three water tenders sufficed to douse the fire effectively. Although company workers were present, no injuries were reported.

'An AC blast typically involves an explosion or fire related to an air conditioning unit, often due to electrical or mechanical failures,' explained officials. They have urged citizens to avoid prolonged AC use to prevent similar incidents amid current extreme heat conditions.
