Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov raised alarms on Saturday regarding a newly announced U.S. guideline for managing nuclear assets on the Korean peninsula, as reported by Yonhap news agency. He stated that the guideline is certain to elevate security concerns in the region.
During a meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Laos, Lavrov acknowledged that he hadn't been briefed on the specifics of the plan. However, he emphasized that he had 'no doubt it will bring about additional concern,' according to Yonhap.
