Ponomaryov revealed on Facebook that a drone exploded outside his door, resulting in shrapnel wounds and a fire. He shared a photo showing his bloodied face and upper chest.
This marks the second night of drone strikes in the Kyiv area. Damage included two residential buildings, but there were no direct hits to critical infrastructure. The air force confirmed the destruction of all seven drones used in the attack.
On Wednesday, Russia launched one of its largest drone assaults, sending 87 drones into Ukraine, with no reported casualties. Additionally, Russia fired Iskander-M ballistic missiles at Kharkiv, injuring one and damaging railway infrastructure.
