A series of natural disasters have gripped multiple states in India, precipitating urgent rescue operations. As the death toll rises and scores remain missing, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kerala are utilizing drones and helicopters to aid in their rescue missions.
In Himachal Pradesh, flash floods have resulted in eight fatalities and 45 missing persons. Rescuers are employing drones to locate and recover those still stranded. Concurrently, in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district, the Indian Air Force has deployed Chinook and MI17 helicopters to evacuate pilgrims marooned along the rain-battered route to Kedarnath.
Similarly, Kerala's Wayanad district is leveraging advanced technical equipment and canine units to search for survivors buried under landslide rubble. The scale and speed of the responses underscore the increasing reliance on technology in disaster management.
