Turkey has blocked access to the widely-used video game platform Roblox, citing concerns around content that could potentially lead to child abuse, Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc announced.

'Our country is obliged to take the necessary measures to ensure the protection of our children,' Tunc remarked on social media platform X. He added that the block was implemented under a court order following an investigation by prosecutors in Adana.

A Roblox spokesperson emphasized the company's commitment to user safety, particularly that of younger players, and expressed an eagerness to collaborate with local lawmakers to restore the platform's availability in Türkiye. The move follows Turkey's recent blockade of Instagram over compliance issues.
