Tech start-up Lexlegis is set to invest Rs 400 crore to expand its AI-driven legal services platform, focusing on research and application drafting for law firms and professionals, according to Managing Director Saakar S Yadav.

During the unveiling of their new app, Yadav highlighted three key modules: 'Ask' for legal queries, 'Interact' for document summarization, and 'Draft' for application drafting. The company plans to include direct and indirect tax segments initially, with corporate laws and general laws to follow soon.

Yadav stated the company aims to monetize its tools starting in October, with anticipated support from top legal firms and external investments. Expansion plans include growing the team to 150-200 members by mid-2025 and entering the foreign market. Lexlegis aims to address India's significant legal backlog, currently exceeding 44.9 million cases, with its advanced AI solutions.
