Accompanying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at the chancellery, Scholz stressed the importance of this financial aid as a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin. With the continuation of military backing, Scholz emphasized that the West remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine.
