Jaguar Land Rover, the Tata Motors-owned luxury automobile brand, announced the establishment of an Open Innovation Hub in Bengaluru, India, on Wednesday. This strategic move is designed to foster collaboration with startups to streamline the development of next-generation products and services that will shape the future experiences of the company's clients.
Building on its successful initiatives in the UK, US, Israel, and Brazil, the India hub will concentrate on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and analytics, the Internet of Things, and advanced driver assistance systems, according to a company statement.
The Bengaluru hub aims to bring together diverse stakeholders, including industry professionals, government representatives, and academic entities, to devise industry-leading solutions, like optimizing electric powertrain batteries and advancing ADAS technologies, while tapping into India's rapidly growing startup ecosystem.
