Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy inaugurated Microsoft's new Hyderabad campus, marking 25 years of the company's presence in the city. The 1.1 million sq ft LEED-certified building at Gachibowli aims to accommodate 2,500 additional employees.
Microsoft, which employs over 20,000 professionals in India, will hire 4,800 more following the expansion. Collaborating with Telangana's government, Microsoft announced AI training programs targeting students and professionals.
The initiative includes establishing an AI Centre of Excellence to spur innovation, accompanied by a substantial investment in AI data centers. Chief Minister Reddy emphasized Hyderabad's rise as an AI hub with Microsoft's support.
