India's Defence Export Milestone: FWDA Secures Global Deal

Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace (FWDA) announced a global export order for its FWD 100 ISR aircraft from a Sub-Saharan nation, marking a significant milestone for India. The deal positions India among top global defence exporters. The FWD 100 ISR is developed in Bengaluru.

Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace (FWDA), a prominent player in the defence technology sector, has revealed a global export order for its FWD 100 ISR autonomous aircraft. This development signifies a notable achievement for India as it positions the nation among the world's top defence exporters.

Unveiled at the prestigious Aero India 2025 event, the deal includes an initial delivery of 35 autonomous aircraft. The event also highlighted FWDA's upgraded unmanned bomber, equipped with advanced laser-guided weaponry and enhanced endurance capabilities.

With the FWD 100 ISR entirely developed in India's Bengaluru, this marks a pivotal moment where India moves from being the largest arms importer to joining an elite league of exporters, alongside countries like the USA, China, and Israel, according to Suhas Tejaskanda, Founder and CEO of FWDA.
