Uno Minda to Boost EV Casting Parts with New Rs 210 Crore Facility
Uno Minda is investing Rs 210 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Aurangabad to meet the demand for electric vehicle casting parts. Approved by the board on June 19, 2025, the project will be financed through internal resources and loans, enhancing production capacity gradually over five years.

Uno Minda, a prominent auto components maker, announced on Thursday its plans to invest around Rs 210 crore in establishing a new manufacturing facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. This move aims to address the growing demand for casting parts in electric vehicles.
The company's board of directors approved the detailed project report in a meeting on June 19, 2025. This new facility is part of Uno Minda's strategy to cater to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) looking for electric vehicle component solutions.
The facility's construction will be financed through internal accruals and a term loan. The company aims to expand its production capacity to 3,629 metric tons per annum over the next five years, with the first phase scheduled for completion by the second quarter of the 2026-27 fiscal year.
