Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Department will conduct transfers for all posts through a centralised online system to ensure greater transparency and fairness in the process, an official release said on Saturday. The department said the new digital mechanism will reduce human intervention and make the transfer process faster, more transparent and reliable. ''Transfers for all posts in the Women and Child Development Department will now be carried out through a centralised online system,'' the release said. Factors such as merit, seniority, priority categories and applicable rules will be considered objectively while processing transfer requests, it said. The move is expected to provide employees with a simpler and more equitable transfer process, officials said. The state government has been expanding the use of e-governance across departments, with the Women and Child Development Department also prioritising digital administration, the release added.
