China’s technological development to benefit Egypt: Mostafa Madbouly

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has recently said that his country is seeking to benefit from the technological development of China.

Mostafa Madbouly's remarks came during his meeting in the capital Cairo with Li Jie, chairman of the Supervisory Board at Huawei Investment & Holding Co., a Chinese telecommunications equipment company.

The country's Prime Minister, Madbouly opined that Huawei could very well capitalize on the investment-friendly climate in Egypt and expand its businesses in the Arab country, especially where IT and smart cities are concerned, Egypt's official MENA news agency reported, Xinhua noted. For his part, Li said his company is interested in the Egyptian market and willing to help the Egyptian government and private sector achieve technological development.

Egyptian experts and researchers in Asian affairs held a seminar in the capital Cairo on April 1 to discuss insights and visions on the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and its economic and strategic significance for participant states.

Egypt is always willing to boost communication with the Communist Party of China, participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, and enhance cooperation in fields including youth, women, vocational training, and poverty alleviation, to promote the development of China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership, as reported by Xinhua.
