Cloudflare, a U.S based company that provides content delivery network, DDoS mitigation, Internet security services and distributed domain name server services has announced its first consumer service product DNS resolver 126.96.36.199.
The DNS resolver, 188.8.131.52, is available publicly for everyone to use, it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. The DNS resolver, 184.108.40.206, provides all defined and proposed DNS privacy-protection mechanisms for use between the stub resolver and recursive resolver.
The new DNS resolver claims to boost up internet connection with enhanced security. Powering over 38 percent of managed DNS domains, Cloudflare runs one of the largest authoritative DNS networks in the world.
Matthew Prince, co-founder, and CEO of Cloudflare stated, "We think it's creepy that user data is sold to advertisers and used to target consumers without their knowledge or consent. Frankly, we don't want to know what people do on the Internet—it's none of our business—and we've designed 220.127.116.11 to ensure that we, along with ISPs around the world, can't."
Cloudflare's DNS will offer support for both DNS-over-TLS and DNS-over-HTTPS.
More than 7 million Internet properties including major e-commerce websites, government agencies, and enterprises, use Cloudflare DNS service to make sure their property is online and always available to anyone in the world.
