Argent, which is considered a smart cryptocurrency wallet, has raised $4 million in Seed funding from the participators such as Index Ventures, Hummingbird, Creandum, Mattias Ljungman and firstminute. The crypto lovers can download the Argent wallet from Google Play Stores and it won’t hold or have access to user’s funds.

The crypto enthusiasts will be able to access their cryptocurrency assets with the use of Argent’s mobile app, the wallet, which can be used in Android and iOS devices. According to the company officials, the app is absolutely secure just like any registered banking apps and it does not need any technical knowledge to utilize.

The co-founder and chief science officer of Argent, Dr. Julien Niset opined that the company was looking to offer the bank-level usability and security, without the bank.

“The web is dominated by monopolies and middlemen. Cambridge Analytica and Equifax highlighted the damage this was doing to people. The emerging decentralized web offers a better way – with people controlling their data, assets and identity. But it is still way too hard for most people to use, so adoption is slow. We founded Argent to fix this,” the co-founder and CEO of Argent, Itamar Lesuisse said, Tech Crunch reported.

This new project recently won prestigious inaugural user experience price at Devcon4 by addressing several issues. This cryptocurrency wallet allows you to port your ID around (like Facebook or Google login) and resolves the UX problem through clever smart contract architecture. The company further plans to make a developer kit available to third parties to maximize more adoption. It is further looking forward to more partnerships in finance including gaming.
