Cyberattack on Ukraine's Kyivstar will cost parent Veon almost $100 mln in sales
(Corrects source to Veon (not Kyivstar) in headline, paragraph 1) Jan 18 - Veon the parent company of Ukraine's largest mobile operator Kyivstar, said on Thursday a massive December cyberattack on its operations will cost it around 3.6 billion hryvnias (around $95 million) in revenue for the 2024 fiscal year.
The loss came from measures the company took to compensate customers for the inconvenience caused by the disruptions.
